La lussureggiante e verde isola di Lesbo chiamata anche Lesbo (/ lɛzbɒs /; Greek: Λ έ σ β ο ς Lesvos, pronunciato [le̞zvo̞s], a volte indicato come Mytilini dopo la sua capitale) è simile a no altra isola greca. È la terza più grande delle isole in Grecia dopo Creta ed Evia. Praticamente insensibile al turismo di massa che ha trasformato diverse isole in congregazioni di eventi,
Lesbo è il luogo ideale da visitare per le persone che desiderano incontrare la vera Grecia. The Greek island is blessed with three wonderful castles: The Mytilene Castle, the Mythimna Castle and the Sigri Castle. The Castle of Mytilene thrones atop of the hill close to the Mytilene port, being one of the largest castles in the Mediterranean Sea whose construction was initiated in the Byzantine Era. This château is isolated in three parts with the middle part including a jail complex, a seminary and an underground water tank.
