Italian designer Gabriele Teruzzi created a mesmerizing concept for a fabulous super-yacht never seen before. The exquisite boat is called Shaddai and the name was chosen in order to express the idea that stood at the basis of its foundation: man’s power. This is a Hebrew word meaning “almighty” or “all-powerful” in English.
The gigantic vessel has fabulous features like: an aquarium, a glass bottomed pool, an enormous viewing deck and culminates with an elevated cabin with a height of 38m above the water’s surface.
The distinguished cabin has a 105 sq m terrace equipped with a bar, a dining area and an infinity pool with a glass wall, offering incredible views and guaranteeing complete privacy.
The main reason for conceiving such a unique cabin was to create a perfect place to watch the sunset and to give a feeling of ultimate freedom and supreme control. Mr. Gabrielle says:
“From there (the owner) can reach the feeling of a higher power, surrounded by the immensity of the sea and sky, reaching the clouds where everything reflects their place in the world: at the top. Furthermore, the infinity pool produces a visual effect of water with no boundary, merging with the sky.”
The main deck is closer to the sea level and comes equipped with sun loungers, a beach club, an infinity pool with a glass floor and an aquarium. On the main aft deck guests can enjoy the sound of water falling from an infinity pool on the upper deck.
Gabriele said that he was inspired by contemporary architecture, adding: “To ascend from the ground has been a desire in the human kind since the very beginnings. There are precious examples like the Tower of Babel, the Pyramids in Egypt and today in the magnificent skyscrapers. The wish to touch the clouds continues to be present in the most powerful minds.”
The truth is that this gorgeous yacht looks more like a piece of modern sculpture than like a boat for wealthy people.
For the moment Teruzzi didn’t find a yacht builder to make his dream boat exist more than on a concept level. The construction bill is estimated at about $250 million as Shaddai will be made using materials from the most important fashion houses in Italy.
Even though his creator wasn’t expecting it, the luxurious and stylish yacht received an astonishing attention from the world media and generated excitement in the nautical world.
