Bobs (Werft in Travemunde), Schleswig Holstein, Germany

Bobs (Werft in Travemunde) is a marina situated in Lubeck’s Travemunde borough, at the mouth of Trave River and in the south part of Lubeck Bay. The port is in a well-protected area from the elements and a perfect spot for taking trips out on the Baltic Sea, Denmark or Germany’s islands. Travemunde offers tourists several attractions, as a former fortress built by Henry the Lion, Duke of Saxony for protecting the mouth of the Trave River. It is home to Germany’s Baltic Coast oldest lighthouse from 1539 and to the museum ship Flying P-Liner Passat, one of the last windjammers in existence. The borough also holds several ancient houses, like the bailiff’s residence from the 16th century, one of the oldest buildings in town, St. Lorenz Church, or Kurhaus hotel. Travellers can choose to go to Lubeck where they will find much more interesting sights or attend events, such as the Travemunde Woche, Germany’s second largest sailing event after Kiel Week.
