Kiel Wik

Kiel Wik marina is a port located in Wik district of Kiel, Schleswig Holstein Region, on the right shore of Kiel Canal. Wik is the second largest district of the town and is home to the German Baltic Fleet. Tourists can see here all types of warships and submarines and also the famous Gorch Fock II ship. The marina is located close to the Kiel Canal and it has an ideal placement for those seeking to head out on to the Baltic Sea for a day trip or visit the monuments found on the banks of the fjord. Four and a half kilometres south of Wik, Kiel city centre awaits travellers, with one of Germany’s longest shopping miles, Holsten Street where shops and restaurants are buzzing with tourists. Those interested in visiting some local attractions can head to the GEOMAR Aquarium, where local and exotic sea creatures are found, in aquariums that simulate their natural habitats. The aquarium also hosts a daily public feeding of the seals.
