Marina Park Apartments Whitianga Hotel is located on Coromandel Peninsula on the North Island of New Zealand. Coromandel Peninsula extends 85 kilometers north from the western end of the Bay of Plenty, forming a natural barrier to protect the Hauraki Gulf and the Firth of Thames. Mercury Bay is an area of stunning beaches and bays. Whitianga is the main settlement of Mercury Bay, an attractive township with a deep-water harbor. The wharf in the center of town is the departure point for fishing enthusiasts, charter boats and scenic cruising. A short distance north of Whitianga is Wharekaho Beach, lined by Pohutukawa trees. For golfers there is an 18-hole golf course 3.2 kilometers south of Whitianga, a 9-hole course at Purangi near Cooks Beach, and an 18-hole course at Matarangi, 26 kilometers north of Whitianga.
