Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Auckland, New Zealand

Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron is a prestigious yacht club located in Westhaven Marina, at the foot of Auckland Harbour Bridge. As Team New Zeeland, the club participates in major international sailing competitions like America’s Cup, winning two times. It’s the only team outside the United States to win and defend the title. From the club the Northern Motorway leads directly to downtown Auckland where there’s a lot of things to do, like a visit to the 328m high Sky Tower with spectacular viewing platforms and two exciting rides – Sky walk and Sky jump; the Auckland Museum with Maori cultural performances that include a welcome dance, weaponry display and haka; discover the food and award-winning local wine (pinot gris and shiraz are among the area's specialties). The popular waterside neighborhoods Wynyard Quarter and Viaduct Harbour are home to a great selection of cafés and restaurants. Ponsonby Central area is lined with stylish bars and eateries and at City Works Depot you’ll find craft beers and food with a kiwi twist.
