Port Lagos is located in East Macedonia and Thrace.
East Macedonia and Thrace (Greek: Ανατολική Μακεδονία και Θράκη) is made of the north-eastern parts of the country, including the eastern part of the region of Greek Macedonia, Thrace, and two islands: Thassos and Samothrace. Thassos is a green Greek island famous for its clean beaches, vegetation, and its mountainous terrain, including the highest peak Ypsario (Ipsario) at 1,205 metres. The town of Thassos is also known as Limenas Thasou (Harbour of Thassos). In and around Thasos, there are many ruins dating from antiquity, most of the finds from archaeological sites being on display at the Archaeological Museum of Thasos.
Samothrace (also known as Samothraki) is a standout amongst the roughest Greek islands, being known for its prosperity among the fishing industries.
