Segelclub Baltic e.V. is situated in Dusternbrook district of Kiel, in Germany’s Schleswig Holstein Region. The marina is located on the Kiel Line promenade facing the industrial gantry cranes of ThyssenKrupp considered to be landmarks of the city. Segelclub harbour location in the Kiel Fjord is also perfect in regards to Kiel regatta which represents the world’s largest sailing event and takes place in the last week of June. Each year it brings tourists from all over the world into the city. The GEOMAR Aquarium is a city attraction with simulated environments of the natural habitats for species that populate it and also for the public feeding event of the seals at the aquarium. Visitors who want to see the last remaining U-boat of World War II can travel to the Laboe museum where the boat is found. Entrance into the ship is allowed and gives visitors a chance to explore the life of sailors during the war inside the rooms of the famous U-boat.
