Cesme Marina, Izmir, Turkey

Çeşme Marina is located in the coastal town that has the same name and lays on the shores of the Aegean Sea. It offers 400 berths for yachts up to 60m (200ft) plus a shoreside development complementary to shops, bars and restaurants alongside the historical town of Çeşme (fountain" or "spring in Persian, and possibly draws reference from the many Ottoman fountains scattered across the city). Taking advantage of a long seafront, of a hilltop castle overlooking a lovely bay, Çeşme makes a pleasant base for exploring the surrounding peninsula and is the gateaway for the Greek island of Chios, 8km across the water. The Sera Beach, the Ramo Beach and the Ilica Beach are the most popular in the area. After a long day at the beach, the travellers love to visit the Çeşme Castle which is beautifully lighted during the night. Also, the cafes, bars and restaurants are extremely inviting here and the Turkish cuisine can be tasted in places like Fava Meze Balik, L’Escargot or Missina.
