Lowry Bay Yacht Club is located at the north-east end of Wellington Harbor, in the town of Lower Hutt, 16 km away from Wellington, New Zealand’s capital and second most populous city. Lower Hutt is known for its ample green spaces, walking and cycling trails, including the start of the Rimutaka Cycle Trail, voted among Lonely Planet’s best new world travel experiences in 2015. Attractions in Nelson

Nelson is a region located in the Northwestern part of the South Island in New Zeeland. The most prominent city in the region is Nelson where all the major economic and cultural activities are carried out. This is one of the most flourishing areas of New Zeeland due to its coastal position which makes it a recurrent destination for tourists.

The area was originally inhabited by the Māori population. In the 17th century, the first European navigators set foot on the island; these were a Dutch crew led by Abel Tasman, an explorer. In the 18th   century,  Captain James Cook also visited these parts, following the French exploration in the 19th century. In the second half of the 19th century, the British colonists established their first settlement called Nelson aiming to exploit the arable lands of the area.
