St. Thomas Yacht Club is located in Saint Thomas.

Saint Thomas belongs to the group of islands called the Virgin Islands, located in the Caribbean Sea. It is part of a county that belongs to the United States Virgin Islands, a territory governed by the United States. Saint Thomas is home to almost a half of the total population of the United States Virgin Islands.
The capital city of this island and most important economic and cultural center is Charlotte Amalie. Saint Thomas is a popular touristic destination that has plenty beautiful natural sights and local attractions.

The first inhabitants of this island were a population called Ciboney who were followed by the Arawaks and the Caribbean tribes. In the 15th century, the island was discovered by Christopher Columbus. The first colonial settlements which started to develop here around the 17th century belonged to the Dutch. The British also conquered parts of the island, whose territory was finally surrendered to the Unites States which purchased it in the 20th century.

Nowadays this island is a predilect destination for American tourists and not only; most travelers come here for the beautiful beaches and water activities like kitesurfing, snorkeling, diving or berth booking, and sailing.

There are many points of interest that draw tourists: the Cathedral Church of All Saints is a beautiful stone building dating from the 19th century, the Fort Christian is a landmark of the island, the red walls of the fort used to serve as a defense point for the Danish, the Blackbeard's Castle is a beautiful building situated in the capital, this used to be a strategic observation point and nowadays it is one of the major touristic attractions of the island, St. Thomas Synagogue is another famous spot belonging to the historical patrimony of Saint Thomas and it has been used as a functional religious location since 1833.
For shopping lovers, there are many opportunities to grab a unique gift from one of the local boutiques in the capital or an affordable brand product from a duty-free shop.

Some of the most beautiful natural sights of Saint Thomas is the Magens Bay, with its splendid white sand and green surroundings, a perfect spot for snorkeling.

The Coral World Ocean Park is another touristic magnet that comprises a vast territory where visitors can go on trails, explore the underwater life from the Undersea Observatory or the beautiful coral reef patrimony.
