Whangaroa Marina, Northland, New Zealand

Whangaroa Marina is located on New Zealand’s North Island, in the Northland region, that stretches from Auckland region to the very top of the island. Situated in an inlet of Whangaroa Bay, this marina is New Zealand's most northerly marina with the closest access to the famous fishing grounds from the Cavalli Islands to North Cape and beyond. The beautiful Whangaroa Harbor is unique in the North Island due to its deep water bays and near vertical volcanic cliffs. The Northland region is known for its diverse natural beauty that includes white-sand beaches, forests of giant Kauri trees, picturesque islands and huge sand dunes. It has a subtropical climate all year-round, making it an ideal vacation spot. Discover the Ninety Mile Beach, renowned for spectacular sunsets and boasting one of the best left hand surf breaks in the world. This beach is officially a highway (suitable only for 4x4 vehicles) with activities ranging from surfcasting and swimming to bodyboarding down the sand dunes.

Northland is a region located in the Northern part of New Zeeland. It is also nicknamed the Far North because it’s the furthest area on the north of the island.
