Port De Gustavia, one of the most exclusive marinas, is located in Gustavia - the capital of the French island of Saint Barthelemy, Port De Gustavia is a full-service center. Saint Barthelemy, St. Barts for short, is an arid, volcanic rock of 20 km2 that became the favored Caribbean destination of the rich and famous. The capital Gustavia is built on a horseshoe shaped peninsula around a small, sheltered harbor flanked by ruined forts. The town has a distinctive appearance owed to the bright red house roofs. The charm of Gustavia lies in its architecture, from the vestiges of the Swedish era to various colonial-style houses, some painted in bright Caribbean colors.
