Brac can be your holiday destination or a choice for a day trip. There are many connections to and from the island. In less than an hour, you can get to Split or Makarska.

The difficult degree of the trails you can try here varies from relaxing strolls in pine forests to challanging climbing quests. By the way, if rock climbing is your passion, you can try the crags at Lozisca to test your abilities.

A tranquil town, with beautiful churches, parks and a superb waterfront view, Bol is famous for its long promenade to Zlatni Rat Beach. The Dragon's Cave near Bol is a site worth seeing: The cave's walls are believed to be sculpted in the 15th century and a dragon is carved on them, among other symbols.

The island is also popular for its hermitage sites which can be admired in the mountains, at altitudes of 300 meters.

The local cuisine is based on fresh, tasty ingredients. Some of the highlights of Brac's gastronomy are the sheep cheese, the dishes based on lamb meat and, of course, the popular olive oil. The restaurants on the island vary in price, menu and décor, but what characterizes all of them is the welcoming and friendly approach. Some of the places you should choose for a genuine dining experience are Mali Raj (in Bol), Terrace Cicco (near Bol), Kala (in Povlja), Agroturizam Margera (in Dol), Kopacina (in Donji Humac).

Another attraction for gourmands and fun-lovers are the wineries in Brac. The island has a fine reputation for wine making. The most popular types of grapes cultivated here are Plavac Mali and Posip.
