Hundreds of tourists assisted to a stunning show in Argentina. They had the chance to witness an amazing natural phenomenon. Enormous chunks of the Perito Moreno Glacier, located in Los Glaciares National Park, broke off right in front of them. The pieces of ice fell into Lake Argentina.

Fissures happen every four to five years after the glacier forms a dam over the arm of the lake. Because of the water volume in the dam, a tunnel of water is created through the glacier. With the passing of water, the bridge grows thinner and in the end all turns into a spectacular rupture. The Patagonian Glacier, known as the White Giant, displayed impressive waves into Lake Argentina.

The massive monument in the southwest Santa Cruz Province is 250 square kilometers wide and 70 meters high. Constantly, the glacier goes over the lake and breaks off. Around 4000 people gathered to enjoy a glimpse of the phenomenon.
